Thomas' Favorites
13 Hits · last calculated September 18, 2026 Source: fundamental data & SEC filings (annual and quarterly reports, 10-K/10-Q)
Methodology & criteria
Thomas' personal favorite combination: (1) big growth — quarterly earnings per share (EPS) ≥ 25% AND quarterly revenue ≥ 20% year-over-year; (2) a healthy balance sheet — Piotroski F-Score ≥ 6 AND Altman Z ≥ 3 (safe, distress-remote zone); (3) a genuine positive earnings surprise in the most recent quarter — reported earnings above the analyst estimate (fundamental data); (4) still-small market cap ≤ $10 billion, so plenty of room to run; (5) institutional ownership still < 70%, leaving room for large funds to keep adding (demand reserve). Financials and REITs are excluded because 'revenue' isn't defined consistently for them. Stocks distorted by reverse splits are automatically filtered out via the global splitFlag.
Global filters: market cap of $50B or less (mega caps are cut from every scanner); 10- and 30-day ADR must be ≥ 1% (too little movement gets cut); names after a reverse split (distorted price history) are excluded.
