What TickerGuard is, and who it is for

TickerGuard is a research site for US stocks, with a focus on smaller companies that mainstream coverage tends to skip. It is written for private investors who want to understand a business before they buy it, not for traders looking for the next call.

The core is long-form single-company research: the business model in plain language, the numbers across several years, the uncomfortable passages from the mandatory filings, and a closing assessment that leaves the decision with the reader. Around it sit tools such as the stock scanner, the screener, the fundamentals comparison and the earnings calendar. Current counts of research pieces, company profiles and scanners are kept up to date on the Brand & Press page.

How we work

Every piece of research starts with the original documents a US company has to file with the SEC: annual reports (10-K), quarterly reports (10-Q), current reports (8-K) and insider filings (Form 4). Second-hand news is a lead for us, never evidence.

On top of that we work through the earnings calls of the past two to three years. That is where management promises show up, and where you can check whether they were delivered. The analyst question-and-answer part tells you far more than the prepared remarks.

Figures from the filings are cited with their source, and direct quotes are reproduced verbatim. Where we show a highlighted passage from a document, we link the original filing. What cannot be evidenced does not go into the research.

Where artificial intelligence does the work

We work with AI support, and we say so on every piece: "This piece was produced with the support of artificial intelligence and editorially reviewed." AI helps to search hundreds of pages of filings, to do the arithmetic and to draft the wording.

Responsibility stays human. Figures are checked back against the original document before they are published, and the closing assessment is an editorial decision. Mistakes that still get through are corrected visibly rather than quietly.

What is free, and how this is meant to pay for itself

Everything published here is free and usable without an account: all research, all tools, the newsletter and the alerts. There is no paywall behind which the interesting part begins, and there is no paid tier on TickerGuard today.

In the long run the site is meant to carry itself through commissioned research and through broker referral commissions. Referral links are marked as such; they change neither the research nor the assessment.

What TickerGuard is not

Not investment advice. We know neither your financial situation nor your appetite for risk, so we are in no position to recommend anything to you -- and we do not want to be. No piece of research ends with a buy recommendation.

Not a price-target service. We sell no forecasts, no signals and no hot tips. Where analyst price targets appear, they are third-party estimates and labelled as such.

Not a broker and not a portfolio manager. We hold no accounts, custody no money and route no orders. Positions we hold ourselves are disclosed on the Positions page.

The reviews we do not claim

You will find no user quotes, no stars and no satisfaction scores on this page, for a simple reason: we have not collected any. A rating we write about ourselves would be worthless, and an invented one would be a reason to stop believing anything on this site.

That is exactly why real feedback matters. Tell us what is missing through the feedback page or at contact@tickerguard.com. Criticism of a number or of an assessment is the most welcome kind -- it is the only way to catch the mistakes we missed ourselves.

Frequently asked questions

Is TickerGuard legitimate?

The site is run by TM Internetmarketing GmbH, based in Ludwigsburg, Germany, with a full legal notice and a named author. Every piece of research names its sources, mostly mandatory SEC filings, so the work can be checked. The fastest way to judge it is to read a piece on a company you already know.

Does TickerGuard cost anything?

No. All published research, the tools, the newsletter and the alerts are free and usable without an account. There is no paid tier on TickerGuard at this time.

Do I get buy recommendations or price targets here?

No. TickerGuard gives no investment advice and publishes no price targets of its own. The research puts the case for and the case against side by side and leaves the decision with the reader. Any price targets shown come from external analysts and are labelled as their estimate.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the companies own filings with the SEC -- annual reports, quarterly reports, current reports and insider filings -- supplemented by fundamental data and the quarterly earnings calls. Prices and ratios always carry the date they were pulled.

Is this written by an artificial intelligence?

AI assists with research, analysis and drafting, and that disclosure appears on every piece. Figures are checked back against the original filing and the closing assessment is an editorial decision. Nothing is published unreviewed.

How do I report an error in a piece of research?

Use the "Found an error?" form below any piece, the feedback page, or write to contact@tickerguard.com. Evidenced corrections are worked in and the change is noted on the piece.
