What these filings show — and what they do not

The source is the official disclosure filings of the US Congress under the STOCK Act. What gets reported are individual transactions, not holdings: how much someone owns in total appears nowhere. Amounts are disclosed only as a statutory range — “$15,001–$50,000” is the entire figure, and no more precise one exists. Filings are due within 30 days of learning about the transaction and no later than 45 days after the trade, so weeks routinely pass between the trade and its publication. The field the source calls “owner” says who traded — frequently not the member of Congress but a spouse or a child. Part of the filings still arrive as scanned paper; those cannot be parsed and appear here only as a link to the original document.

About Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi represents California's 11th congressional district, based in San Francisco, in the U.S. House of Representatives and is a member of the Democratic Party. She has served in the House since 1987 and made history as the first woman to hold the office of Speaker of the House, serving two terms – 2007 to 2011 and again 2019 to 2023. Few members of Congress draw as much attention for their financial disclosures as Pelosi: her reported securities transactions are among the most closely watched in Washington. Under the STOCK Act, members of Congress and their family members must publicly disclose purchases and sales of stocks and other securities. In Pelosi's case, the reported trades are largely attributed to her husband, who frequently executes sizable options transactions. This page tracks her disclosed trades automatically and keeps them current, showing whether it was a purchase or sale, the legally required amount range, and both the trade date and the filing date. A few things matter for interpreting this data: amounts are disclosed only as ranges, filings can lag the actual trade by up to 45 days, and a single trade is not, on its own, evidence of any wrongdoing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The table on this page shows her currently reported stock trades, sorted by trade date. Because positions change continuously, the live overview is more reliable than any fixed list of holdings.

The data comes from official disclosures filed with the U.S. Congress under the STOCK Act, which members and their family members must submit for every reportable securities transaction.

The table updates automatically as new disclosures are published. Since the law allows up to 45 days for filing, there can be a delay between the actual trade date and when it appears here.

Most reported transactions are attributed to her husband, who is listed as the owner of the trade. Disclosure rules cover the household's holdings as a whole, which is why trades by spouses and dependent children also appear.
